Army Pfc. Michael C. Olivieri
26, of Chicago, assigned to 1st Battalion, 7th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kan.; died of wounds sustained when enemy forces attacked his unit with indirect fire June 6 in Baghdad. Also killed were Army Spc. Emilio J. Campo Jr., Army Spc. Michael B. Cook Jr., Army Spc. Christopher B. Fishbeck and Army Spc. Robert P. Hartwick.

The American Legion Post 2011 is proud to support organizations that work to strengthen our communities. Through the volunteer efforts of our membership and our contributions, we share with the communities in which we live and work.
Through the Contributions Program, the American Legion intends to focus on programs which address education, services for veterans, active military, and the local community.
As a rule, the American Legion will not provide charitable contributions to: Religious organizations, political organizations or groups, and government agencies.
Our Charitable Contributions Committee is charged with overseeing the charitable giving so that the greatest impact is where our members live and work.
Solicitations to receive a contribution from the American Legion must be submitted in writing for review by the Charitable Contributions Committee and the Post membership at the Monthly meeting.
The Charitable Contributions Committee will develop and maintain a list of on-going, recurring contributions.
